An opportunity to grow

Someof us think; many of us think we think; but most of us never even think of thinking. To think wisely is to make life a process of growing. The art of wise parenting is to foster and empower children to deal with the dimension of growing and that is possible, if wise thinking is injected into children.
Life can be a process of growing or a process of aging.

Aging means Adding years to your life. Growing means Adding life to your years. It is very important for parents to teach children to add life to their years. I observe very few people are really growing. To grow up is very different from growing old.

Growth also involves cashing on difficult situations.

Reflect on this story. Twofrogs were on a long journey and were hungry.

They saw a huge pot, crept on it and found milk. They tried to drink the milk, but in the process slipped into the pot.

One frog gave up and died after a while. The other frog had the belief that winners never quit and quitters never win.

Hence, it continued its effort. In the process, slowly the milk turned into curd. Now it was relatively easy for the frog to take a leap and come out.

True growth involves overcoming obstacles and perceiving life not as a problem but as a challenge. What appears impossible to achieve at one point of time is possible if one were to put wise effort.

The greatest parents are those who do not lose their own child-like heart.

Reading quotations for motivation. Good or Bad?

after all these mad scribblings are about good bad and searches! Reading too many quotations sometimes is like over eating. The mind becomes unclear and wanders restless...(sometimes becoming very blank) It is the stage when I feel: 'reading quotations is useless' Some time ago I made an attempt to have just four quotations ready - just like some instant energy giver - to motivate me any time. Searching quotations, with the aim to short list for instant energy giving - the mind was blocked - making myself to quote: "reading quotations is of no benefit" At this stage I thought, let me have one quotation - just one - to motivate me any time....... I got this one: Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
