Colours of love fuel Guinness dream

From G Manjusainath DH News Service Raipur:

Their love blossoms in myriad colours. Basant Jain and Anita Jain are living up
to their wedding vows with all sincerity but in a distinct fashion. On
recognising their distinctiveness of being a rare couple, they have now decided
to enter the Guinness Book of World Records. Basant and Anita have become the
identity of Rajnandgaon town. Around 19 years ago, the couple decided to dress
up in similar material, and they continue to do so even now. They have also seen
wide media coverage and criticism for their actions. For being the ‘couple with
a difference’, they found a place in the Limca Book of Records. “We are the only
couple in the world who have been wearing common dress material for the last 19
years. So we can claim an entry into the Guinness Book,” said Basant Jain.
Around
24 years ago, Basant Jain married Anita against his parents’ wishes. The couple
saw financial hardships in the first years, but it did not deter them. They
opened stationery stores in Rajnandgaon to tide over the crisis. It was during
this period that the idea to wear same coloured outfits struck the Jains . It
clicked and helped them prosper in their business. Majority of their customers
came to their shop to see the odd couple in common colours. Their three sons and
two daughters had to face caustic comments by friends about their parents. Jain
recalls being called ‘band party’ by his sons’ friends. Basant Jain informs that
they have more than 1,000 clothes tailored with common dress material. “People
invest in real, estate, banks, post offices, mutual funds and shares. But we
invested in dress materials. This is the property we have built in 19 years,” he
says

66 😎

66. A number that once sounded distant. Now it sits quietly beside me, sipping morning air. This is not a fitness routine. This is not a medical prescription. This is a conversation with the body, before the world starts talking. Minute 0–2: Waking Up Without Arguments I don’t jump out of bed. I negotiate. A slow turn. Feet touch the floor. The hips complain softly — not rebellion, just a reminder: “Ease into the day.” I smile. We’ve known each other long enough. Minute 3–6: Gentle Movements — No Heroics A few knee bends near the wall. Hip circles — small, like drawing commas in the air. Marching in place, as if I’m late for nothing. This is not exercise. This is oiling old hinges. The body responds politely. Minute 7–11: Walking — The Best Medicine Slow. Then moderate. If the weather is kind and yesterday’s dinner was lighter, I allow myself a gentle upward slope. No speed targets. No apps judging me. Just footsteps, breath, and that quiet joy of still being able to move forward. Minu...
